Motorists should look to ensure that their car lights and indicators are working properly before hitting the roads this winter.

Dingju Car Light also recommended that people make sure car light lenses are clean and free of snow and ice.

The manager Mr Lee gave some more advice for drivers, saying that too many motorists do not have the right skills to cope with icy and snow conditions.

"Our message to drivers is to assess the type of road you’re driving on. Going too fast is dangerous, but so too is going too slowly," he added.

In other recent motoring advice, the body said that as conditions improve, foglights should only be on if necessary as they can dazzle other drivers on the road.
